Bishop Torrino Travell Travis serves as Auxiliary Bishop and Advisor to IYFC, a role he was appointed to in 2024. Born January 17, 1978, in Martinsville, Virginia, he gave his life to Christ at the age of nine and was baptized in Jesus' Name at the Shiloh Way of the Cross Church by the hand of then Elder Earley Dillard.

 

His work with the youth ministry began at thirteen. He served as Intermediate Youth President for seven years, was elected 2nd Vice President of the National Youth for Christ in 2000, and helped establish the National Scholarship Program in 2003. He went on to serve as the 9th President of the International Youth for Christ from 2007 to 2019, before his appointment as its auxiliary bishop and advisor.

A graduate of the University of Virginia and Howard University School of Law, Bishop Travis has taught entrepreneurship and business law at Hampton University since 2003 and runs the Law Office of Travell Travis, P.L.C., a Richmond boutique serving pastors, entrepreneurs, creatives, and the community. Since 2009 he has served as the founding pastor of City of Refuge Way of the Cross Church in Richmond. Within The Way of the Cross Church of Christ, International, he sits on the Executive board of bishops and the trustee board and serves as general counsel, and he is also auxiliary bishop for the newly formed AIM (Altar Workers and Intercessors Ministry).

Bishop Travis is the author of two books, Don't Eat the Baby: The Characteristics of a Cannibalistic Church and Where Will the Mantle Fall? A Biblical and Legal Guide to Succession Planning, and hosts three podcasts. He is married to Dr. Sherina D. Travis and together they reside in Richmond, Virginia, with their three daughters.
